"And they said: here we will build for us city and tower and top in heaven and we will do for us name, as we are not scattered on face of all the earth. " [Genesis 11:4]Many years passed from then days of the flood, and again sons of man was many in the earth.
All remenbered the story on the flood that God brought on the earth, and they feared perhaps there will be flood again.
The people decided to build hight tower.
We will rise in tower, they thought, and we will be hight like God.
Thus we can even reach until to heaven.The people united together, and began in work with much excited.
Did that knead soil, did that prepare bricks, did that build tool, and then they began in work the building.
They worked in many dilligence, and not rested little.
"Hight tower was built", they said each other, "strong and arise hight in sky, from the earth and to heaven, and sons of man go up and go down in it."
"And the tower will be very strong and big", they said to children, "that it will support in heaven and will guard that will not fall in the earth."They worked with excited.
Here in near they will succeed in mission and there will be like God.
All moment they think, all time will occur.
Forbidden to stop the work.
In order to save time, at east side they built ascent stairs - as the poters will be able to carry the bricks to go up to the top of the tower without obstacle, at west side they built descent stairs - as it will possible to go down fast, not to bump into carring the bricks.
It is visible that there were all workers together, all delligent and devoted to the work:
If brick happen by chance, many ran to raise, and to replay for carring the bricks.
Only not to be lost time, to build more hight, more hight.But all the looking well, It can distinbuish, that the people were anxious for building and for tower, but not for their friends.
If one of the workers fell from many tiredness or illness, then man did not watch in him and did not come to help him.
If someone broke his leg, then only they moved him the side, that it will not disturb for work.
All desires were to reach to the heaven, and fast all possible.God was angry on building the tower.
But when he saw their diligence and partnership of the action in their work, he decided that not to punish them in heavy punishment.
I will confuse their language, he decided, in order to that they will not hear and man will not understand language of his friend.
As they will study moral lesson, he thought, when they will not understand each other, they will be not able to continue in work of building the tower.God confused their language.
When the worker said: "Give me stones of brick", they did prepare him soil.
In that he requested soil, they did bring him trees.
When he called to bring him water, they did raise him ashes.
When he sent to bring him shovel, he did receive ax.
Without understanding to be together is very difficult, and again to build is more difficult.
Without understanding to continue in work can not do.
And truthly it can not to continue to build the tower, and the confusion in language casued to stop the work.Sons of the man saw that it is not succeeded in their mission, ans began to scatter in the world.
In all country they spoke in different language, and developed diferent customs.
