YouTube(ユーチューブ)とは、米国で2005年12月にサービスが開始された無料動画共有サイトです。 日本語版YouTubeは、2007年6月から利用されています。動画を見る、動画を公開する、動画をユーザ同士で交流する、という機能があります。

Step1 まず、 http://jp.youtube.com/ にアクセスする。
Step2 YouTube の検索枠にキーワードを打ち込む。（下の例では、The Beatles と入力）
Step3 該当する動画が複数表示されるので、見たい動画をクリックする。
Step4 クリックした動画が表示される。例えば下図（これは縮小図）

以降の手順は省略します。

YouTubeにアクセスしても動画が表示されない場合は、次の確認を行って下さい。(1) Adobe Flash Player がインストールされているか。これは、パソコンに詳しい人にチェックして設定してもらうとよいです。
(2) Javascript が有効になっているか。なお、ちょっと大きな本屋さんにゆくと、YouTubeに関連した本がたくさん売っています。 初心者向けとしては、例えば、こんな本を買い求めるとよいかと思います。
