• 「〜ぶり」と一言で表すことができないので，このような表現になる．
• 「この〜の間ではじめて」　＜for the first time in 期間＞
• 「・・・以来〜の期間がたつ」　＜It's been 期間 since＞
• lastは文末だけでなく，動詞の前にくることもある．
• 期間の所に a long timeやagesなどの「長い間」に当たる言葉を付ければ「久しぶりに」を表すことになる．

• 1ヶ月ぶりに外食しました．
  • I ate out for the first time in a month.
  • It's been a month since I ate out last.
• 5年ぶりにイタリアへ行きました．
  • I went to Italy for the first time in five years.
  • It's been five years since I went to Italy last.
• 10年ぶりに高校の同窓会がありました．
  • We had a high school reunion for the first time in 10 years.
  • It's been 10 years since our last high school reunion.
• 今日は何週間ぶりかの晴天です．
  • We have nice weather today for the first time in weeks.
  • It's been weeks since we had nice weather.
• 久しぶりにベンと話をしました．
  • I had a chance to talk with Ben for the first time in ages.
  • It's been ages since I had a chance to talk with Ben.
